Provenance: Donated by the artist's daughter to raise funds for the repair of a church, when purchased by the present vendor's late parents in the 1970s.
In this sensitive portrait of her friend the artist Anne Redpath sitting contemplatively in her Paris apartment, Margaret Hislop echoes both Redpath's style and the artistic device of a window setting.
