A fine pair of Derby cabinet coffee cans and stands, c 1794, painted by James Banford with Neoclassical allegories and amorini, in circular gilt frames, the grounds with reserves of pink roses in alternating blue and white vignettes by William Billingsley, the pale salmon ground with jewelled white pearls and gilt stars, rope twist scroll handles, the stands, 13.5cm diam, painted puce crowns, crossed batons and D, pattern no 365

Fine quality porcelain in almost fine condition. Slight stacking wear, principally affecting the stands, including rubbed gilding and some in-glaze scratching; minor manufacturing blemishes, i.e. pitting and some kiln dust.
