The Travels is a spurious work not by Swift: part I is an imitation and part II is a plagiary of the English translation of Denis Vairasse d’Allais’s utopian ’Histoire des Sevarambes’. Each of the Travels' title leaves state volume III, however, they are complete in themselves; the work was intended to be mistaken as a continuation of Swift's Gulliver's Travels, the first edition of which was issued in two volumes.
