Edinburgh, Alexander Kincaid, 1764. 12mo in 6's, volume one of two only, text clean and fresh. Bound in a fine 18th century Scottish herring-bone binding of full red morocco, boards with double gilt outer borders, central panels fully and elaborately gilt with numerous small devices comprising pairs of gilt birds perched at corners, various flowers, heart-shaped devices, pointelles, swags, etc., spine fully gilt, all edges gilt, floral end-papers. A very handsome binding. Contained in a near-contemporary leather pouch
