A George III oak eight-day longcase clock, Rowbotham, Leicester, dated 1795, the 11 inch breakarched brass dial engraved to the centre with tulips, having pierced date sector and subsidiary seconds ring, above TEMPUS FUGIT, mask spandrels and to the arch Sun in Splendour engraved convex disc, in substantial case with swan neck pediment and brass mounted fluted pillars, the trunk enclosed by a full length moulded, pointed door with large oval paterae, flanked by conforming pilasters, on panelled base, pendulum and sleeved weights, 235cm h
