A CHINESE BRONZE JARDINIERE, QING DYNASTY, 19TH C cast and very finely chiselled with panels of qilin and phoenix framed by flowers, the slightly flared foot beneath an apron of lappets, 36cm h, commendation seal

Provenance: R E Summerfield (1916-1989) of Derby and subsequently Cheltenham, but not included in the executor's sales of the Summerfield Collection by Sotheby's, Christies or Bruton Knowles; acquired by the present private vendor in 1989.
