A family group of four brothers, all of whom were born on Gibraltar where their father Thomas Grain (1787-1867) was Commissary General, Royal Engineers. The brothers married (E M Grain) Elizabeth Mary Cook, (F H Grain) Alice Kneeland, (W Grain) Mary Orton and (H Grain) Charlotte Francis Caroline Fitzherbert.
The lot in fine condition remounted some years ago preserving the original frames, unexamined out of the frames
