Walter Belderson (1898-1930) of Fressingfield, Suffolk, served on HMS "Nottingham" from 9 January 1915 to 26 August 1916, surviving the sinking of the vessel by clinging to an upturned table for two hours. He died of burns following the accidental discharge of a death charge on HMS "Sepoy"
