An English basket top ebony clock, Henry Massy London, c1700, the brass dial with matted centre, date aperture, signature and mock pendulum aperture, rudimentary ringed winding hole and silvered chapter ring, having masked spandrels, the quarter repeating verge movement chiming on six bells, with pull quarter repeat, engraved backplate signed beneath the full length figure of Britannia framed by scrolling foliage and the wheatear border, in basket topped case with gilt brass finials, handle and repousse mounts, bob pendulum, 38cm high excluding handle
