London, RB & G Seeley, 1850. Fourth edition, folio, 21 fine folding hand-coloured maps (correct as list) with accompanying text, half red leather, scuffed at joints and extremities. The final 6 large maps are, in effect, world maps (at least reflecting the known-world at the time of the period covered) - two of these depict the world at the time of 'The Discovery of America, 1498' and 'At the Separation of the United States of America from England, 1783'
Internally clean with occasional light spotting to maps which are otherwise clean and fresh. The binding is rubbed with scuffing to the leather at the joints, head and tail of spine, and corners
