Two large thick folio volumes, separate titles to Old and New Testaments, numerous engraved plates after John Martin and others, generally a clean and fresh copy. Finely bound in full contemporary purple pebble-grained morocco, boards with decorative panels in blind with gilt leaf devices at the corners, thick heavy boards, spines with gilt raised bands and lettering direct, outer and inner gilt dentelles, all edges gilt, lightly rubbed in parts, upper board to vol 1 fractionally bowed, but a bright and handsome set (2)
