A bundle of nine late 17th c and later legal parchment manuscripts, including a 1682 mortgage for Henry and Elizabeth Darby's one cottage in East Bridgford, Nottingham, a 1715 tripartite indenture between Thomas Hynde of Sawley, Derbyshire, and various others, the 1826 general release for Mr. William Littlewood of Heanor's creditors, an 1830 counterpart lease between John Michael & Mary Fellows of Risley, Derbyshire, and John Pearson of Nottingham, an 1824 deed of covenant between Robert Heavington of Ilkeston and Bryan Thomas Balguy, of Derby, a Chesterfield-related MS, others unconnected to Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, two cased but fragmentary wax seals
Mixed condition. All legible. Some documents' red wax seals worn or with slight losses. The two cased seals fragmentary as catalogued.
