Provenance: 1) M/I*E, contemporary 16th/early 17th c monogrammed binding. 2) Johannis Johnston/Edinburgi/1836, ink MS ownership on recto pastedown, loosely-inserted MS scrap in which the then owner evidently confuses the previous owner with the earlier namesake and Scottish Latin poet (c. 1570-1611). 3) St Aloysius' College Library, Glasgow, the Jesuits' institutional stamp in several places.
