Dame Alice Barker (1708-1771) was the daughter and heiress of Sir Comport Fytche, 2nd Bt. (1670-1720) and his wife Anne Robinson (1682-1737). Alice Fytche married on 28 October 1740 for Sir John Barker, 6th Bt. (1714-1757) of The Chantry, Sproughton and Grimston Hall, Suffolk. Their son, John Fytche Barker (1741-1766) succeeded his father as the 7th baronet
