A French porcelain sweetmeat figure of a gallant, probably Samson, late 19th/early 20th c, of 18th c form, his basket with lift-off cover encrusted with flowers, enamelled in polychrome, 20cm h, pseudo crossed batons in underglaze blue
Some firing stresses, including the interior of the basket. The hands with varying degrees of restoration. General wear, some pitting. The flowers slightly nibbled.
