A GEORGE III MAHOGANY DRESSING TABLE, C1780 the crossbanded top with barber pole stringing, fitted with drawers in matched veneers, brushing slide, apron drawer and figured door to the recess, the brass handles and escutcheon apparently original, 86cm h; 50 x 25cm

In good unrestored condition, fine quality timber of pleasing colour/patina. The top with a number of old scratches and stains, small veneer losses in places, one drawer with small hole in the front and lacking the escutcheon. One or two old minor repairs, shrinkage crack on one side, all but one of the drawers with lock, the drawer linings and backboards original. A high quality example
