An early 19th c lady's album of pencil sketches, the work of Mary Welch Gisborne, Enfield, [then Middlesex], 1823, 6 drawings only, including named-view topography and a mounted cavalry officer, loosening contents, contemporary red morocco gilt, chipped losses and wear, all edges gilt, 8vo, & a bundle of approx. 15 loose 19th c manuscripts, mostly 1870s, including vers de société, satirical verse citing Gladstone & Disraeli, another Lords Spencer & Sandwich, an 1865 Scottish ode on the Bute election, mentioning George Boyle, later 6th Earl of Glasgow, riddles and enigmas, mostly of original composition, one sheet at least citing the Quarterly Review, etc
