A GERMAN, THIRD REICH, KREIGSMARINE EIGHT DAY SHIP'S TIMEPIECE, C1940 probably by Kieninger & Obergfell, the silvered dial with eagle and swastika over M and numbered 10023 N[ordsee] with regulation slot at 2, the locking bezel secured by six screws, sheet brass housing, on later turned oak wall plate, bezel 17cm diam

Provenance: Acquired by the vendor's father, a Royal Naval Officer, in 1945. The timepiece was overhauled and cleaned by Smith of Derby Ltd in June 2005; sold with photocopy of thw=e report and invoice.

One or two minor dents on the sheet brass housing but in very good condition and good working order, sold with a later key as supplied by Smith of Derby Ltd
