An Imperial Russian Jager brass and green cotton tape-bound bugle horn, c1850  

Provenance: The descendant's of Major General William Cochrane Anderson RA (1794-1865); Bishop & Miller, auctioneers, 5 May 2022, lot 299  

The present lot was almost certainly amongst the items bought home from his campaign by General Anderson's son, Major General John Richard Anderson CB (1821-). A Captain in the Crimean War, he commanded the 9th Battery Royal Artillery attached to the Light Division of the Battle of The Alma, the capture of Balaklava and the Siege of Sevastopol
