The artist was the daughter of Thomas Borough of Chetwynd Park, Shropshire. She married, in 1832, George Stavely Hill (1801-1893), son of Col Sir Robert Chambre Hill CB of Prees Hall, Shropshire, a nephew of General Rowland Hill, 1st Viscount Hill (1772-1842)
