A Bloor Derby porter mug, c 1820, painted to either side with views of Derby with figures and livestock in octagonal frames, reserved on a richly gilt ground of leafy scrolls and anthemia, the front with a gilt cartouche inscribed Benjamin Redshaw DERBY, gilt borders, 13.5cm h, rare painted circular BLOOR DERBY mark and titles South View of Derby and East View of Darley Nr Derby in blue script
Fine condition. The handle gilding somewhat rubbed, further lighter wear in places. Slight crazing in places, never discoloured.
