A George V silver gilt dressing mirror, applied with arms of the City of London, Corporation of Manchester and Bowater, flanked by portrait medallions of King George V and Queen Mary above similar medallions of members of the Bowater family, the lower part with views of Guildhall and Manchester Town Hall flanked by sprigs, bevelled plate, mahogany back and strut, 38.5cm h, by The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd, London 1914  

The present lot would appear to have been presented in Commemoration of the Mayoralty of Sir Thomas Vansittart Bowater 1st Baronet DL (1862-1938) Lord Mayor of London 1913-1914
