A CAUGHLEY BLUE AND WHITE TEA BOWL, A MATCHING CAUGHLEY OVAL TEAPOT STAND AND A MATCHING CHINESE TEA BOWL AND SAUCER, C1796-99 in the Contemplation pattern, Caughley tea bowl 8cm diam

Provenance: (stand) Watney Collection.

Exhibited: (Caughley tea bowl) 1999, No 258.

Literature: 2013, p183.

The shape of the later stand suggests a matching teapot, such as that illustrated in Caughley Society Newsletter 57, February 2014, p8, fig 2, but not apparently mentioned in the text.
