Provenance: Sold on the instructions of executors of a deceased's estate
NSU (Neckarsulm Stricksmachinen Union) were knitting machine and bicycle manufacturers until after WWII when the first NSU Max motorcycle was built in 1952. The advanced overhead camshaft engine set in a spine frame was innovative and allowed subsequent development of the Special Max, Supermax, Sportsmax and Clubman Sportsman models, each represented in this collection.
