Provenance: The Reverend Edward Graves Meyrick (1780-1839) of Ramsbury, Wiltshire. Jane Austen's favourite nephew and subsequent biographer, James Edward Austen-Lee (1798-1874) was sent, aged 13, as a boarder to E G Meyrick's School at Ramsbury.
