Stoddart, ink MS ownership inscription slightly later than the latter; 4) indistinct ownership inscription dated 1941, ffep; 5) Pauline Baynes (1922-2008), book illustrator, including some of Tolkien's works; inscription presenting the book in 1977 to 6); Julian Bicknell (b. 1945), New Classical architect and designer of the Palladian Henbury Hall, Cheshire; his and his wife's pictorial bookplate to pastedown.
